A New Era of Thornbridge- Thornbridge 4 Everyone

Hello Everyone

Things settling down here after our mad rush to get open in our new cafe site before we had to evict ourselves from the carriage house wedding venue. What a wonderful bunch you are - you have kept us very busy - so many wonderful people ‘finding Thornbridge. Thank you.

We have been busy recruiting and training new team members  - so i now get a breathing space… i have worked nearly every shift in the new cafe - that meant I couldn’t work on the next thing - well now i can - so here is the news of what is happening next.

We have, ‘under the radar’ been trialing house tours - yes you heard it here first  - we are going to  open the house to visitors  - guided of course, as i don't want to find people ‘accidentally’ rifling through my underwear drawer! (Truth - that really happened)

These new 45 minute tours will be bookable, cost £10 and our Thornbridge Bronze Club Members will get priority for the first slots.

Our Silver and Gold members will be invited to join for free, very small group private tours that include a guided beer tasting by Mr Thornbridge Beer himself, my Jim.

David is your tour guide, charming and suave - and has plenty of Thornbridge gossip/secrets to spice up the tour.

Talking of tours and gossip … have you had the pleasure of a garden tour yet from the inimitable Angie and Wendy - free of charge most Fridays. They know a lot more than they should! Me thinks i talk too much…

Enough for now - except to say that we are working on a programme of Wednesday events to be run in the newly refreshed and beautiful carriage house - afternoon tea, tea dances, book launches, lectures, lunches and all round good living. A reason to dress up a little maybe?

Finally - thank you for supporting us in this new era for Thornbridge - in doing so you have helped us fund our Foundation, Thornbridge 4 Everyone, improving the lives of disadvantaged children and adults. We are making Thornbridge accessible to them by making grants that pay for their transport here and more besides. Last week 120 primary school children visited on one day - truly heart-lifting - their squeals of delight - their exploration of new experiences, food and activities - transformational.

See you soon - say hello when you see me

yours

Emma
